Announcer........£75.00+VAT

The Announcer is a programmable voice warning device which allows the user to customise voice messages delivered for a variety of applications. Its reliance on powerful lithium cells (supplied with the product) means that the unit can be deployed almost anywhere within a building.

The device can deliver 2 separate messages, each triggered by a different method:

1. Movement: The movement sensor is based around a high quality passive infra red detector which relies upon mirror optics to provide detection within a 90º angle over a range of 10mtrs ensuring that the unit will only respond to movement by a human size target. In this mode a programmable post event timer will ensure that multiple messages are not delivered where continuous movement is experienced.
   
   
2. Programmable Input: There is a separate 2 wire input that can be programmed to trigger the device either by the shorting of the connections (e.g. push button) or removal of an applied short (e.g. door contact). In this mode a delay can be programmed to ensure that the unit is not triggered until a specific time has elapsed.

Audible Warning:

Two separate voice messages can be delivered by the device after being triggered. Both messages are entirely programmable by the user via a computer. A message of up to 20 seconds long is recorded on to a PC and saved as a WAV file. The message is then downloaded onto the Announcer via the speaker output from the PC. In this way different messages for specific requirements can be downloaded quickly and easily.

Examples of Use:

The movement detector
can be used as a simple greeting device in an unmanned reception, a warning that only authorised staff are allowed in certain areas, a reminder of the fact that there is "No Smoking" allowed, a health and safety aid warning of a wet floor.. etc.

But currently the area where Announcer is being deployed with most effect is hospital hygiene in the battle, being fought by infection control depatments, against super bugs MRSA & C-Dif. By placing the announcer at the entrances to wards and other key areas and with an appropriate voice message visitors and staff can be reminded as frequently as required to WASH THEIR HANDS!

The programmable input
can be used in conjunction with other detection equipment already on site to provide a unique message associated with burglar alarms, fire alarms, access control systems, building management systems ...etc etc or the Announcer can be connected to a simple door contact to warn against exiting or by using the delay start timer it can be used to alert staff that a door has been left open for too long.

In short the applications are numerous and the flexibility of Announcer means that where the need arises for voice communication of any type the product is adaptable enough to satisfy the requirement.
